Newborn
Abbie was born September 19th, 2003 at 9:00 a.m. in
Logan, Utah. She was 8 pounds 1 ounce and 20 inches
long.
Mom woke up at 12:30 a.m. Friday morning to find her
water broken. We hurried to the hospital where going
into labor seemed to be a popular thing - there were
over twenty births within 24 hours of when we got there.
Luckily, we got a labor and delivery room, while others
had to labor in the halls.
Mary was in hard labor for several hours until the
anesthesiologist was able to come. He was pretty popular
amongst the moms-to-be and we had to wait our turn.
She progressed quickly and by 7 a.m., we were ready
to start pushing. We were all a little surprised to
see dark black, curly hair on our little one as she
came closer to being born. Mom pushed for two long hours,
but finally Abbie was born. She was perfect!!! Please
enjoy a little video of Abigail's first day in life
and a few pictures of her first hours.
